Can The Curvy Fashion Design Book and The Fashion Design Book be used in Adobe® Illustrator®? Yes! It absolutely can be a great resource and tool to use in Adobe® Illustrator®. 

In fact, all of the drawings in the books have been created with Adobe® Illustrator®, and it’s the primary software that is used in the fashion industry for digital drawings. 

Adobe® Illustrator® is an app that can be downloaded and used on computers and tablets. It’s a great software to practice drawing digitally in an extremely accurate method.

The software is vector-based, unlike Procreate®, which is pixel-based software. 

The great thing about digital drawing is that you can duplicate the layers and color up multiple images super fast. 

You’ll mix and match all the features of the styles you want to create until you are pleased with the looks. Change any of the design details as you go. 

Before you’re ready to color up your styles, you’ll need to close all your lines to create a complete area that can be filled in. There are multiple ways of doing this, and each designer has their own preference. You’ll find your preferences as you continue to work in the software. 

I’ve used Adobe® Illustrator® for 20 years, and there is a bit of a learning curve with the software. Take your time practicing.
